Designing Sultan Namli started long before the first concept was created. Before putting pen to paper, I traveled to Türkiye to experience its culture, cuisine, architecture, and everyday life firsthand. I wanted to understand the feeling behind the places, not just the visuals. Walking through historic streets, discovering local craftsmanship, studying traditional motifs, and experiencing authentic Turkish hospitality became the true starting point of the project.

Together with the client, we envisioned a restaurant that felt warm, welcoming, and effortlessly authentic. Rather than recreating a traditional Turkish interior, we wanted to capture its soul through a contemporary lens. Every decision was intentional, from the earthy color palette and handcrafted brick finishes to the custom tiles, decorative motifs, layered textures, and carefully selected fabrics. Even the softness and thickness of the sheer curtains were chosen to create the quiet, comforting atmosphere we wanted every guest to feel the moment they stepped inside.

For me, the smallest details often shape the biggest experiences. Every material, finish, and proportion was thoughtfully curated to build a space that feels lived in, inviting, and timeless. Sultaan Namli became more than an interior project. It became a story of translating culture into design, creating a place where people can gather, slow down, and experience the warmth of Turkish hospitality in a way that feels genuine, memorable, and beautifully contemporary.Leaves Café is a harmonious blend of British Colonial charm and contemporary elegance, designed to create an inviting yet refined atmosphere. The space is anchored by deep oak wood paneling, suspended greenery, and classic French wall moldings, bringing warmth and character. A custom-crafted solid oak partition with embedded mirrors subtly divides the café and retail area, maintaining openness and flow. Carefully curated furniture, layered textures, and ambient lighting complete the design, evoking a sense of comfort, sophistication, and timeless beauty.
