The Journey of Project Oasis: A Vision Brought to Life

It all began with an idea—a garden show concept that soon evolved into something much greater. Living in the Middle East, I found myself deeply inspired by the beauty of an oasis, an eternal paradise hidden within the vast desert landscape. This vision resonated with Leaves Holding, a company built on elegance, innovation, and storytelling through its diverse products and services. I wanted to embody that essence, merging the organic beauty of an oasis with the brand’s identity, creating a space that was not just a showcase but an experience.

Taking a transformative approach, I envisioned a grander scale—one where the environment itself became part of the storytelling. Palm trees became more than just decorative elements; they were elevated into architectural structures, reinterpreted as sculptural forms that bridged nature and Art Deco influences. Their textures and silhouettes grounded the space while seamlessly integrating into the brand’s narrative. Crystals were introduced as a symbolic nod to water, adding a refined yet subtle contrast to the earthy tones of the environment.

The layout became a crucial part of the experience. I designed curved display tables inspired by natural topography, guiding visitors through a fluid journey within the space. These pathways allowed guests to explore the products—chocolates and sweets—while immersing themselves in the ambiance of the oasis. Incorporating foliage was a challenge, particularly sourcing and transporting the palmera leaves in large quantities to Bahrain, which required special approvals. However, this effort was essential in reinforcing the authenticity of the environment.

One of the defining moments of the design was the intricate textural detailing on the palm tree trunks, which added depth and dimension, evoking the feeling of being within a lush, untamed forest. To complement this, we introduced delicate tropical white florals, enhancing the overall softness and contrast of the composition. The final touch was lighting—designed not just as an accent but as an integral part of the experience. Inspired by futurism, the lighting created an ethereal glow, illuminating the space with warmth and energy, capturing the essence of brightness and joy one feels when stepping into an oasis.

Seeing this vision come to life, from the initial concept to a fully immersive environment, was truly rewarding. Project Oasis became more than just a stand—it was an experience that transported visitors into a world where nature, art, and brand storytelling converged. Winning the award for Best Stand was the ultimate recognition of this journey, and I will always cherish this project as a testament to the power of design, vision, and bringing ideas from scratch to reality.
